Neila Rey’s challenge – 30 days of cardio blast



Without challenges and goals life is just the passing of time. That’s why I’m so excited to be starting another challenge tomorrow. This time, my superstar friend (more about her in another post), is joining me.

Anyone else use StumbleUpon?  I used it a lot a couple of years ago, and started back up this weekend.  On Sunday evening I stumbled upon Neila Rey’s website and her 100 no equipment workouts. I shared this with my friend.  We started to explore Neila’s website further.  The more we looked the more excited we got.  There is a wealth of free exercises and great tips for people of all fitness levels.  I love the focus on bodyweight training – you don’t even need to leave home.  There are diagrams to go with all the exercises.   I highly recommend checking out the website.  Neila can be found on Google+ along with a great Fitness Community which she manages.  She also has a few YouTube videos.

Neila’s website has a programs page. My friend decided to do the 30 days of cardio blast.  I’m all about supporting my friend, and exercise, so of course I took her up on her offer to join in!

The 30 Days of Cardio Blast is a bodyweight equipment-free high burn oriented program designed to slim you down and tone you up in the comfort of your home. Different cardio routines, some higher in intensity some lower, will not just help you burn the reserves and get muscle tone but also improve your cardiovascular system, your overall health and fitness level.

We decided that tomorrow, September 2, will be our start date.  I’ll report back regularly and let you know what we think of the 30 day challenge, and how we are doing.  It’s going to be a fun ride and I expect that I’ll be ready to hit the next 30 day challenge as soon as this one is up.
