I promised you all that as part of the Sprint to May Challange I would take my weight this week as a starting point. Well, here it is:
Eek! Take a breath. Try not to freak out even though it’s up from November (and no, I never did weigh myself again after 30 days). At least I’m consciously trying to improve my health while trying to drop the weight, right? It could be worse. It’s better than being ignorant to it and just letting it get worse and worse. It’s still difficult to look at those 3.5 numbers though. I know it’s not all about scale, but there’s no denying it. I definitely have to lose weight (because it’s definitely not all muscle!). I’ll keep you all updated on my progress.
I’m leaving the country today for a week for some charity work. It will be an enriching experience and an active week, but I’m not sure how I will do with food. Unfortunately I’ll be limited in my choices, but I will try to make the best choices possible! I was going to wait until after this trip to take my weight – but life will always throw you a curveball; something will always come up. If it’s not this week with the charity, then it’s someone’s birthday, or a work dinner, or chocolates on Valentine’s Day. I’m done putting off things until later, especially my health.
